Cabaret Re-voltaire Encore - Beyond Civilized

DADAnewyork theatrically explores the work of DADAs and surrealists such as Tzara, Ball, Arp, Heulsenbeck and Schwitters, and develops serendipitous and scatological writing from the early 1900s to the present. In BEYOND CIVILIZED, the company presents a melange of writers including Ring Lardner, Jean Cocteau, the late performance artist/poet Irving Wexler, David Dozer (co-host with Janet Coleman of "Cat Radio Caf" and author/producer of the long-running series "Poisoned Arts," both on WBAI), expressionist doyenne Valeska Gert and, surrealistically, George "Dubya" Bush. The centerpiece of the program is Liquid Krell A DADA-Aktion by zKrell, one of DADAnewyork's most prolific contributors. DADAnewyork is Mort Kroos, Joanie Fritz Zosike, Lois Kagan Mingus, Robert Hieger, Be LaRoe and vocalist/violinist extraordinaire, Rosi Hertlein .
