    Axis Company: Shorter Works (Cycle One)

    The Axis Company's second annual series of fully produced short plays and videos by emerging directors. There is no overall theme for the evenings. The pieces presented have been selected on their merits as creative, innovative and avant-garde works. Each piece is under 30 minutes. Cycle One includes: 63OPCPBMF (written and directed by Randy Sharp) is the live action documentation of Robert Oppenheimer's 1963 CerebraPremort Brain map. Although widely used today to determine the exact moment of forensic death, CerebraPremort Brain Map technology was in its infant stages at that time. I Was a Brain-Sucking Zombie (written by John DeVore, directed by Ami Armstrong). The living dead terrorize a pair of sequestered suburbanites in this horror-comedy. Loading (written and directed by David Balutanski). Set in the near future, a technophobe struggles in a world encroached on by technological advancement. Video: Selections from the Life of Steve cartoon video series by Dan Killeen and new work by Ethan Crenson and Amanda Alic.
