    Read the Offoffoff review

Writer/Director Tom Noonan is set to return with his Paradise Theater Company to the stage that brought us "What Happened Was," "Wifey" and "Wang Dang" with his latest, WHAT THE HELL'S YOUR PROBLEM: An Evening With Dr. Bob Nathelson. The production is expected to begin performances March 21, 2002, opens March 28th, for a limited run through April 20, 2002. Dr. Bob Nathelson, 'star' of the television talk show circuit and author of such classic tough-love self-help manuals as, "You Made Your Parents Hate You" and "It Will Never Get Any Better Than This" brings his 'show' to New York City for a special one-month engagement. Join Dr. Bob and leave your old life at the door!!! — All ticket holders will be welcome to participate on stage with Dr. Bob. Anyone bringing a copy of his books to the theatre will receive a 10% discount. Tom Noonan has been developing material for his Paradise Theater since he founded it in 1982. He wrote, directed, and performed his 1992 two-character play What Happened Was . . . at the Paradise and the following year filmed a movie based on that production. What Happened Was . . . won the 1994 Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize for best film and the Waldo Salt Award for best screenplay. His next production, Wifey, starring Karen Young, Julie Hagerty, Wallace Shawn and Noonan opened at the Paradise in 1994, won an Obie Award for Playwrighting, and was later shot as a film (called The Wife, also accepted into competition at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival). Both features received U.S. and international distribution and are available on video. His most recent theatrical production, Wang Dang, premiered in 1998 and its film is currently in the final editing stages.
