The evening, which includes an informal pre- and post-show party, features the best in theatrical eclectica that the off-off theatre scene can provide. Past participants have included: Premium Bob, Instant Girl, Dar Williams (recording artist), Billy Crudup (star, Almost Famous, Jesus' Son), members of Naked Angels theater company, Motion Picture Movement Theater (former Pilobilus dancers), Alan Ball (Academy Award winning screenwriter), Mark O'Donnell (former writer, Saturday Night Live), Gilbert Girion (playwright, Faith's Body), and many more. The January engagement includes: a short play with video by Josh Liveright, a puppet sketch by Tom X. Chao, a puppet performance art piece by Rachelle Anthes, a short film by Peter Blomquist and Jeff Wiens, a short bit by Cathy Manuelin, a short play by Ted LoRusso, a short play by Bruce Romans, a sketch by Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama, a dance piece by Faith Pilger, Musical guest John Van Atta, Pre-show Video Ambience by Daryl Swanson, original artwork by Marta J. and Steven t. Fiscus, Lighting Design by Nick Hohn. TIMSLOFT is a late night series developed in 1993 by Josh Liveright, Jeremy Gold and Johanna Pfaelzer of Zena Group. The original purpose of the event was to provide company members with a venue to develop new works, whether it is short plays, sketch comedy, movement or clowning, short films, monologues, or music. The first four Timslofts were held in an actual loft space between Broadway and Church in TriBeCa and yes, the guy who owned the loft was named Tim.
