    Are You Dave Gorman?

One night in the late spring of the new millennium, Dave Gorman was sitting in a London pub with his flatmate, Danny Wallace. Tequila was involved.

During the night a rumor surfaced that the assistant manager of Scotland's East Fife football club was named Dave Gorman.

By 6:00am the next morning Dave and Danny were on the London-Fife train.
They attended the football match, met their man, shook his hand and enjoyed the experience so much that they have been replicating it ever since.
Dave Gorman has traveled 24,000 miles; spent thousands of pounds; visited four continents; been heralded on the BBC, at The Aspen Comedy and the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals . . . and found 54 Dave Gormans . . . one for every card in the deck (including the jokers).

And that is what "Are You Dave Gorman?" is about.
The hunting down of Dave Gormans all over the world.
    Decks and decks of them.
He has found them in Israel.
He has found them in Norway.
He has found them . . . even in Ireland.
He has offered pregnant women money name their unborn children in his honor.

Kelly Scutts, 23, from Swindon, England changed her name to Dave Gorman. ("My boyfriend Adam was a bit apprehensive about changing my name. But my Dad's called Dave and he wanted another son.")

Dave Gorman is coming to America.
    Send us your Dave Gormans.
