    Listen Houdini

    Read the Offoffoff review

In the latter part of his life, Houdini began a maniacal crusade against the then hugely popular fad of spiritualism and seances. "Listen Houdini" examines the intricacies of the real-life relationship between Houdini and Arthur Conan Doyle, a firm believer in the spiritualist movement. In "Listen Houdini," Doyle presents the beaten-down and aging Houdini with Margery Crandon — the last contener for the title of genuine Medium. Through this final test, the interior terrors of both men's desperate lives are revealed. Using these amazing historical characters , Axis Theater Co. brings to life the unprecedented period of the golden age in New York City.
