    Another Life?

A new musical with book, music and lyrics by Jeffrey Todd Fernandez about a future where the battle lines are drawn between religion and spiritual enlightenment. Utilizing diverse musical styles such as jazz, classical, rock and traditional musical theater, Another Life? is set sometime in the future. In a diverse community, lines are drawn between a people holding onto their belief and faith in a divine power — God — and others struggling to gain spiritual liberation. A revolution unfolds as a determined activist, Gigi, rallies to preserve her ideas of God and church. Paul, a passionate rebel, rejects Gigi's ideas of conformity and joins the crusade to eliminate organized religion. During three turbulent days filled with cosmic events, old demons and life threatening situations unravel. Featured in the cast: Jani Neuman, whose credits include Christine in the National Tour of "Phantom Of The Opera;" James Glenn, who was featured in the Broadway productions of "Jimmy Shine" with Dustin Hoffman and "Oliver!" with Clive Revill; and Stephen Amato, Ryan Brunton, Esther H. Cohen, Duquincy Cooks, Kim Crawford, Jack Delbe, Robert Wilson Hancock, Alissa Hunnicutt, Chris Janssen, Lindsay Packard, Erinn Selkis and Nathan Zubal. Jeffrey Todd Fernandez is also the author of "Inbetween," a new musical which traces the experiences of two aging gay men who decide not to be alone any longer, as well as a well-received cabaret evening of his songs that was recently presented at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Mr. Fernandez is an attorney and prominent gay rights activist who served as the chair of the Massachusetts Gay & Lesbian Political Alliance. In September of 2002, he uprooted his established home in Boston to pursue a new dream: bringing his musicals to life on stage in New York City.
