Cosmic Wonders, Comic BlundersThe one-act plays in "COSMIC WONDERS, COMIC BLUNDERS" include "THE BODY
SHOP" by BOB OST, a comedy about reincarnation. "HOW I LEARNED THE FACTS OF
LIFE" by TERRI CAMPION tells the story of a Catholic girl who grapples with
"Rosemary's Baby." "WANDA'S VIST" by CHRISTOPHER DURANG, takes a humorous
look at an old high school girlfriend who bombards a marriage in trouble.
"SHE WITH A CAPITAL ESS" by JAY D. HANIGAN is a one man's comic conversation
with God. In "SONG" by DREW DENBAUM, a man fights a ridiculous hospital
bill. "LAINIE AND PATTY" by MARV SIEGEL, takes a comic look at couple
preparing for a worst-case Internet date. "HUMAN RESOURCES" by MIKE FOLIE,
takes a satiric look at a cowboy who is hired to bring malls to the West and
make peace with the Indians. "ME, MYSELF, AND I" by SARI BODI, involves a
medical mistakes in cloning humans, and "THE PASSION" by JOHN O'HERN
(actor/writer of the recent successful NY run of "A Rooster in the
Henhouse."), takes a behind the scenes look at the filming of a religious
"COSMIC WONDERS, COMIC BLUNDERS" marks the first full production for HUDSON
RIVER REPERTORY COMPANY. Artistic Director LAURIE ELISCU's spent a number
of years as an actor, director and producer before founding the company.
For several years Ms. Eliscu was an adjunct professor with SUNY-Purchase.
She was also a member of the librettist workshop at BMI. Her directing
credits include Fuddy Meers at Shadowland Theatre, Sylvia, Fools, Beau Jest
and The Good Doctor at the Schoolhouse Theater.
The company of actors who play multiple roles in "COSMIC WONDERS, COMIC
BLUNDERS" include DEB ARMELINO, CHERYL BASS, SEDLEY O. BLOOMFIELD KATHY
CALAHAN, TERI CAMPION, DAVID CSIZMADIA, DAN DIGGLES, DEBRA HENRI, BYRON
LOYD, PAUL LUCAS, SAMARRA, and KATIE SPARER.
