Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean

JIMMY DEAN takes place in an old Five and Dime store in the near desolate town of McCarthy, Texas. The play centers around a 20-year reunion of the Disciples of James Dean, a fan club founded by the overzealous Mona and her friends. In this explosive reunion, the few remaining fans are forced to deal with the pasts they have been hiding from when a mysterious stranger arrives. The colorful characters of JIMMY DEAN will be played mostly by actors who recently graduated from Circle In The Square theater school, as well as other notable performers. The cast includes Jessika Hardy, Valeda Hood, Dila Jelen, Ila Mantell, Collin McGee, Alexandra Moe, Summer Moore, Siobhan Parisi, and Aine Rock. Most of the actresses performed the play under Mr. Langdon's direction while in their final year at Circle; the production was so well received that they decided to form a company, TowardsTruth, and make JIMMY DEAN their first production. Ms. Moore graduated from Circle in the Square a few years ago; she has gone on to appear in numerous plays as well as appearances on film and television, including more than 40 commercials in 2003 alone. While at Circle, she also appeared in a production of JIMMY DEAN. Mr. McGee is a new addition to the cast, but is also a recent Circle In The Square graduate. All of the net proceeds from COME BACK TO THE 5 & DIME, JIMMY DEAN, JIMMY DEAN will go to the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to reach women most in need of breast cancer screening and treatment services. One of the characters in the play is a breast cancer survivor.
