    Cause Celeb!

Since its inception last summer, Cause Celeb!, the highly-theatrical autobiography reading series has garnered a cult-like following. With the new year year, this acclaimed series created by actresses Nancy Balbirer and Charlotte Booker moves to a new home at Fez in Noho. Beginning January 5, a rotating roster of performers will read the juiciest, most self-aggrandizing passages from an eclectic mix of celebrity autobiographies. Each week centers around a different theme: Jan 5: Viva Las Divas All the catty, vampy, bad behavior we've come to expect from larger-than-life stars including Diana Ross, Elizabeth Ashley, Hedy Lamarr and Tallulah Bankhead. This series pays particular attention to the times that these celebs have been forced to climb out of the wreckage of their ebbing careers. Featuring special guest Michael Musto as Esther Williams, Charles Busch as Ginger Rogers and Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife) as Joan Collins. Jan. 12: No show. Jan 19: A Burt in the Hand Equals Two in the Bush Cosmopolitan Magazine centerfold Burt Reynolds serves as the focal point for stories from Tammy Wynette, Mike Douglas, Marilu Henner, Loni Anderson, Judy Carne and even Burt himself. With special guest star Mindy Kaling (Matt & Ben). Jan 26: Porno/Politico Who says porn & politics don't mix? Certainly not Linda Lovelace, Sammy Davis Jr, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Roger Clinton, Gennifer Flowers, Frank Sinatra's valet . . . Feb 2: Sex, Drugs, Rock-n-Roll This classic combo fuels stories by Marianne Faithfull, Bebe Buell, David Cassidy, Pamela Des Barres & many more.
