    The Dilemma of Drugs

Based on the 1971 drug education filmstrip series of the same name, The Dilemma of Drugs explores the dank, squalid world of drug use . . . complete with slide show and folk songs! This audio-visual enrichment for all grade levels is presented by Craig Baldwin and director Erik Sniedze (The Plank Project). It is presented in six short episodes with titles including "Why Hallucinogens?," "Pot, Pills & Parents," and "Drugs: The Question and the Choice." The Dilemma of Drugs has already been a hit at both The Marquee and Fez, now it transfers to on open-ended engagement Fridays at the newly remodeled Pyramid Club Theater beginning October 24th. After extensive research into the dark and seedy underworld of drug use and addiction, a wily ensemble of highly-trained actors embarked on an exhaustive tour of Eastern seaboard middle schools, spreading their knowledge and experience amongst the children. Now, this multi-talented and socially responsible young troupe has returned to educate city dwellers with an unforgettable presentation that is both harrowing and powerful. This cautionary tale is The Dilemma of Drugs. The new production will feature a rotating roster of downtown actors including: Craig Baldwin, Amanda Byron, Jenn Harris, Murray Hill, Jonathan Lisecki & Mark Setlock. New casting will be announced on a weekly basis.
