Mary Todd ... A Woman Apart

    Read the Offoffoff review

One of the most visible and notable first ladies in American history, Mary Todd Lincoln was celebrated for her character, wit and courage, but suffered from the murder of her husband and the death of her favorite son, and then humiliated by another when he had her committed for insanity. This compelling drama captures the haunted Mary Todd as she earnestly articulates her free fall while desperately seeking solace. Although released four-months after her committal, the question of Mary Todd's "sanity" is the subject of speculation to this day. Colleen Smith Wallnau portrays this poignant, moving and often comic personal story of Mrs. Abraham Lincoln. Ms Wallnau, performed on Broadway and with the European tour of Crazy for You, and has performed at CSC in such productions as Marvin 's Room, The Killing of Sister George and The Haunting of Hill House.
