    Dream a Little Dream

Traces the rise and fall of The Mamas and the Papas, from the folk clubs of Greenwich Village, to the acid-soaked heights of stardom in LA, to the flowering of the hippie generation at the Monterey Pop Festival and the heartbreak of the tragic loss of Cass Elliot, the soul of the group. A portrait of an era, CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' is a love story, a tale of four young artists thrown together into a world of riches and fame. In addition to "California Dreamin'," the show features such Mama and the Papas hits as "Dedicated To The One I Love," "I Saw Her Again," "Monday Monday," "Dream A Little Dream" and "San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair)." A multi-media production utilizing state-of-the-art projection technology that will recreate the sights and sounds of an era, CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' boasts a team of some of theatre's most highly-regarded designers. Set design will be by Walt Spangler (Hollywood Arms), costumes by David C. Woolard (The Rocky Horror Show) and lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski (The Producers, Contact), with Jan Hartley (Imaginary Friends) designing the projections.
