Stop, I want to get off
"Libidoff" is a not-funny-enough comedy about a wonder drug that helps humanity by eliminating the male sex drive.

Imagine what men could accomplish if not controlled by their libidos. That's the premise of this flaccid comedy written by Dawson Moore.
The show opens with a commercial program hosted by Dave Wilcox, an admitted loser at love who was miserable until he developed LibidOff, a medicinal patch that eliminated his sex drive and enabled him to find pleasure in other areas of life. Wilcox wants to share his amazing discovery with other Non Juans, but succeeds only in arousing the interest of Bile, a power-hungry advertising executive hell-bent on acquiring the rights to market and manufacture LibidOff for his own financial gain.

Bile's passion for the product is also personal: He has been carrying on an affair with Nancy, his shapely assistant, and believes he could reach even greater heights if not distracted by these daily dalliances. Driven by his hunger for control over the product and his own hormones, Bile connives, kills and eventually self-destructs.
Although LibidOff is billed as a comedy, there is little to laugh at. Most of the jokes fall flat and many of the scenes run on a little too long. Thankfully, the actors make it watchable. Sarah Lewis shines as Nancy, the not-so-dumb blond who fakes flightiness in order to gain the upper hand. With his goofy expressions and nervous speech pattern, Paul Kropfl manages to make pitchman Dave Wilcox more endearing than annoying. Deserving more stage time is Kira Onodera, who portrays Nancy's best friend Lisa, a mousy but man-hungry second-grade teacher with a Fran Drescher bray.
If a laugh-out-loud theatrical experience is what you're seeking, you won't find it here. Abstain from seeing LibidOff and get your jollies elsewhere.
