If The Who's "My Generation" is one of your favorite albums, and you know
that the chances of seeing The Who perform it in its entirety are slim to
nil, then treat yourself to checking out Sit N Spin as they perform all the
songs from that landmark album this Sunday (Dec. 16, 2001) at Arlene Grocery.
Sit N Spin is a four-woman garage pop band
that got its start in New Brunswick, N.J., where there was a good venue, a
good record store and a college radio station to nurse their nascent rock
ideas. Crisply melding a
sense of fun with focus, they put forth pop with edge and substance,
deftly commingling crunch and melody.
