Our top 10 film lists, 1999-2003
Here are all of our top 10 lists since we started Offoffoff.com in 1999. Our participating writers are
Joshua Tanzer,
David Butterworth,
Leslie (Hoban) Blake and
Andrea Gronvall. Some years our counting
skills get rusty and we wind up with more than 10 films.
NOTE: Which movie belongs in which year is a little loose. Every year we ponder whether to
include those last-week-of-December award-bait flicks with the prior year or the following year,
so usually we just list them in the year when we and the rest of the country had a chance
to see them. Conversely, if we see a terrific film in a festival or a one-time screening, we
don't wait around for its official release if we think it's so great. A few of the films were
released only on video or not at all.
