    sorry! I live in north-western Alberta and have just viewed this fabulous film. It is one of best films I've seen in a while. I think the director did a more than adequate job of showing the non-separation of church and state in the 12th century and just how corrupt it was. Dafoe is one of the finest actors in film. Try to see him in Edges of the Lord,

    My husband and I really liked the movie just
    because it was a good story and a little
    different from most of the movies we have
    seen lately. If you like both mystery and history, this is a movie for you. Paul Bettany
    is one of our favorites.
