    You must be a mainstream movie watcher. Were the ending isn't profound and everything is happy go lucky. Get real buddy! This stuff happens in real life! This movie was real. And oh oh,.....It won an Oscar.....imagine that! So go to NYC and visit the Angelica Movie Theater and GET REAL! Life isn't always a bowl of cherries.

    This was one of the hokiest movies I've seen, and another testament to Hollywood bad taste. The mood of the last third just plain didn't fit the rest of the movie, or the gauzy-lensed wrap up, and there were glaring loose ends. My vote for the worst line in a movie ever: "Remember what I told you Pa did to the dog?" I laughed out out.
