But the intention was to show us the 'roots' and it does, sry i donå«t agree with u Nicole.

Paradise Garage, The Loft, Sanctuary, Gallery, Studio 54, Larry Levan, Nicky Siano, David Mancuso Fran̤ois Kevorkian, Knuckles, etc...

Sry Nicole but these are the ones! When reading a comment such as yours, i can only ask 2 questions, either you were a LOT envolved at that time to a point that i honestly believe you werenå«t to do such critic?! or you really donå«t know Dance Music history or it's culture?! wich i'm most leanned to.

Anyway, this is the true story, names, fatcs and as some have said here, IT IS A MUST HAVE documentary if you really love this. For me it is!

2 days ago i watched 60 years old Nicky Siano playing, here, near my place on a club and can only prove the point of this film. It is one ok a kind!

    Cheers
    Jọo

    Response to this comment:
    No Good

This film leaves much to be desired. The thought process was confusing. I was truly disappointed. The film opens on what you think will be the story of the history and influence of the early "underground" music world and morphs into what becomes a tribute to Larry Levan alone. The film lost focus on what I assume the director intended to document: the story of the beginning of a dance culture and the people and clubs who were at the forefront of this revolution. At the end, the story tries to return to it's original intent, but the idea that these legendary establishments paved the way for future generations was not clear. Not to mention, I really wanted to hear the sounds of those original clubs and legendary DJ's Seems poorly directed in my opinion...
