Lietuvoje rode sita filma praeita penktadieni, t.y. lapkricio 25 diena. Labai patiko! Puikus, realiai ir tikroviskai pastatytas siaubo filmo pavyzdys.

Session 9
I have to disagree with your harsh review of this film. I rented it and did not expect very much but as someone who has "been there" (asbestos removal inside creepy old buildings like that old mental hospital) and done that, I can tell you this movie was very well made.
I agree, the tape recordings of the woman who suffered multiple personalities was useless and detracted from the story, but the charactors were very believable, well acted, and the film well directed otherwise.
And to say you "didn't care who was the killer" by the end of the movie means you simply coped an attitude way to early in the film. To me, it was clear the company owner or Phil (Carrusso's charactor) was probably the killer, but which one was not clear till the very end. If that is bad film making in this day where every Hollywood film is so transparent you can guess "who did it" 10 minutes into the flick, then you aren't seeing enough of the crap flowing out of Hollywood.
And as someone who has done asbestos work, hats off to the director for making this film very accurate. There were some flaws, the workers take too many breaks and wear paper dust masks which are not allowed on such jobs, but the director didn't try to make the actors "act" wearing full face respirators either. Providing believable scenes where the actors could interact was something only an asbestos worker could appreciate. You can't talk, let alone act, with a full face respirator on. But the director overcame that obstacle. Well done.
The director used a very creepy old hospital to good effect. It did give you a claustrophobic sense of what it is like to wear a mask, coveralls, and go to work in a poorly lit, dangerous, closed space (which is what asbestos work is like). And yes, asbestos equipment DOES blow the breaker panels all the time and they do need to be constantly reset, especially in old buildings.
Lastly, and most important, the director obviously knew what asbestos crews are like. I can tell you, I have met all of those charactors on asbestos jobs, they are real and well thought out. The acting was very good, especially Carusso.
To recap:
Believable charactors
Accurate portrayal of asbestos work
Good acting
Good directing
Good setting
Decent story
To me, that is the basics for a good movie, even if the plot does not totally hold you to the very end.
Give Session 9 a break. It's not that bad.
To me: 3 out of 4 stars for Session 9.
