Reader comments on The Brown Bunny

Subject: Josh is right. Dumb people are wrong.

Let's see. Me and a friend ordered this because: 1)we wanted to see Chloe Sevingy blow someone, 2)Couldn't believe in a non-porn movie, with "real" actors (Chloe is a real actress with a real bad choice selection. Gallo is self-absorbed bullshit artist, who wouldn't know "art" if it shot him in the face, and is really lucky that his ex-girlfriend agreed (lord knows why) to do this movie because no one would have ever seen it. Ever.), we would actually see someone actually blowing someone else. And 3)we wanted to see Chloe Sevigny blowing someone. Anyone.

We lasted 15, maybe 20 minutes trying to see if there was a story in the movie. Nope. By now we knew we weren't going to see hardly any acting either. I say any because there was some bad acting, but for the most part it was boring and there was no acting at all. Just that self-absorbed prick staring off into space. That's acting? That's art? Whatever.

Vincent Gallo is not an actor. He is neither a writer or director. Anyone letting him near a camera should be shot.

Chloe Sevigny can act. And she can give pretty decent head. And she swallows.

"Claire and Mina" are to be forgiven for being 12 yr. old girls buying into the bs. As for the guys defending this movie - I hope they're big Sevigny fans who are still awed that they saw her blowing somebody.

If Gallo's idea was to get his Hollywood ex-girlfriend to give him head, stir up controversy and make money, he did a good job. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I applaud her, and even him, for going against the cultural norm and taboo (I hope her career doesn't stall for it), but with Gallo? and for this piece of shit? Without her name's drawing power none of us would be having this conversation.

In the end it was a real bad porno movie. Bad because the acting was bad even for porno, and there was only one sex seen. Porno, because like with most porn, you fast forward past the crap to the good stuff.
