are you crazy??? i know that michael parness knows about mental illness as he himself is sick, but this movie sucked and david krumholtz was "amazing?" give me a break! i agree with the review of the film as a flop.

Clearly there is a reason that some reviewers are respected, while others are mere wannabes. I was at the screening of Max and Grace this reviewer speaks of. the film is nothing short of brilliant. Not knowing about mental illness? Belittling it? What film were you watching? The film works on so many levels because it allows the viewer into a world that is depressing and is so serious through humor. Not humor that condemns, rather humor that transcends. Perhaps if this reviewer were really interested in humanity he would have picked that up himself. The fact is, I counted 2 people who left, and one of them came back in, apparently from a bathroom run. And, I've been to Sheboygen, WI, if you don't think its depressing I guess you haven't lived, and in the reviewers case, have no clue what humor and sincerity really are.
The film is well worth seeing and of particular note is David Krumholtz's performance, which is downright amazing.
