In my opinion, this is the most accurate interpretation of the film I've heard or read. The one detail you might clarify for those still a little mystified would be that the scene depicting Rita (Camilla) and Betty (Diane) discovering the body (Diane Selwyn) is symbolic. It is Diane's subconcious denial (or wished destruction/erasure) of the small town victim she's become (in reality.)
