Reader comments on Ruth Kligman: Demons — The Light

I met Ruth at the Tate Britain Gallery in London at the time of the big Pollock show in 2000. We had a lengthy chat waiting to go in to a Dore Ashton lecture. Our conclusion about the new millenium was that huge corporations like Sony would end up mass-producing begging bowls and candles as an essential kit for everyone! She did talk about Jackson but not about her own work, nor I about mine (also a painter here in London) so this is my first view of her work via the web. An octagenarian painter friend once said to me that painting was an old man's game....It is also firmly and "old lady's game" if Ruth will forgive me! Congratulations - do get in touch.
