Reader comments on Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War

Congratulations to those who put this film together. I foretold that we would enter a war way back in early 2002 when I listened each morning to the TV when the President began to daily grind out his message about going after the Taliban. I heard it repeated so much that I mentioned then that the US would be going to war. My roommates looked at me like I was nuts.
When I returned several months later, the same morning message was on...only this time, it was not the Taliban we needed to go after...it was now Saddam Hussein. I asked when the President had changed from the Taliban to Saddam and said again that I knew the US would be going to war.
My thought had always been that from the initial message about going after the terrorists: that we were being given the same message intentionally and repeatedly and that we were being brainwashed. This was courtesy of a psychology course I had takenin 1997--(repeat something more than seven times on a daily basis and the audience begins to believe it as fact).
After hearing the morning drill over and over again, I began to grow alarmed and suspicious of the intent. Perhaps most alarming was the fact that few people seemed to question what was going on.
Another alarming thing was when President Bush appeared on TV one or two days into the war looking disheveled and wild-eyed. Reporters were interviewing him about the war and asked him what the American public thought. Irritated, he commented that he didn't care what the American people thought or wanted. It was apparent that it simply did not matter to him because HE was in charge. Could this be from the same President whose intent is to move from one country to another promoting "Democracy? The guy on that TV wasn't promoting any kind of democracy when he said he didn't care what the Americans thought or wanted.
Well done on the film. I hope to see it again or get a copy.
