Reader comments on The Flower of Evil

    Subject: La Fleur du Bon

I thought this film was wonderfully amusing, interesting, intriguing, and intelligently portrayed. You are kept involved, curious as to how the plot would unfold, and enraptured with the bizarre extremes of each character, yet their true-to-life aura. I thought it was a refreshingly perverse piece, in that it makes some political commentary and uses blatant irony in order to give it further humor, intrigue, and worth.

Though it is not an easily summarized movie, due to the beauty of its simpler points enveloped by complexity, it is simply a wonderful movie.

I highly suggest it personally, though I do know some who were not enchanted by it. I think if you like foreign films or new ideas, and aren't easily offended, it is a must-see.
