I'm almost sure it's staged. Watch again and you'll be able to see presense of some sort of scenario let alone just bad acting, especially of "Palestinians". Real people are more natural and yes, boring. Same goes to the situations. A real picture would be more boring. But it would be therefore more moving. Or, at least, it would be real.
By the way: does Israeli army really allow to shoot documentaries at checkpoints, especially during curfews?
