Ugh. Christ, xenophobic? Ignorant? Yes, I agree that these are sometimes common characteristics of my fellow citizens, BUT DO YOU SEE WAHT YOU'RE DEFENDING?! I'm am the most apolitical, anarchistic, anti-American brat you'll ever meet, and I can say without hesitation that this movie is a defense of tyranny. Period.
Is it xenophobic to be repulsed by the idea that your nation-state is everything and individualism, culture, and freedom* are inconsequential? Is it ignorant to attack what is an OBVIOUS defense for current anti-humanitarian, anti-democratic policies in a modern state?
Look dude, I loathe the Rambo movies and a host other 80s American movies for the some exact reason: they're mindless propaganda masquerading as moralistic entertainment. Fortunately I have the personal integrity to point out when the same thing is going on on the other side of the aisle.
*I understand the US does not have a monopoly on Freedom(tm), despite our constant claims to the contrary. My only point is that America at least STRIVES towards freedom (though often blindly, and badly), whereas "Hero" defends totalitarianism as means of achieving peace.

You know, it's not China that is seen as the Evil Empire these days around the world... it's the US. Why? Because of reviews like yours that show the ignorant, xenophobic American viewpoint. Get a clue before you start rambling on things you no little about.
