Joseph: Your comments are completely out of order. You write as if you believe yourself to be "above" the characters in this film.
Try thinking before you write in future.
The film is shocking, it's supposed to be. Your reaction to the film Joseph, the way you have become so angry just shows how believable the script and the acting was. You aren't supposed to _like_ the girls, or rather, what they become, in the same way you would normally like the lead character/s in a film. Yeah, you might see parts to the characters that you think are cool, I know I do, and I'm 21. But you wouldn't want to wind-up where Evie and Tracey did. It shows how easily things can spiral out of control.
I loved the film, but it really does scare me. I can totally relate to the girls on some things. I am a cutter myself, like Tracey, and urge anyone who thinks that Tracey cutting herself in the film is _cool_ or seems liek a good idea - don't, really just don't. You're worth so much more than that.
The other thing I found about this film was, although when I came away from watching it I felt a bit dazed, shocked and all the other _bad_ feelings, i also felt realived... If there's hope for Tracey then there's hope for all of us.

Thirteen was a terrible movie. The characters in the movie were despicable. This movie shows how stupid kids are. the fact that people enjoy this shows how much degenerates we have in society today. Kids who behave like that should be shipped of to military school, or be put up for adoption. The guy who was trying to make a "beat"(I forget who)with his mouth was a complete and utter idiot. Am I the only one who thinks people who do that are complete and utter fools? Heh, probably so. I was seriously hoping that the girls, heck everyone in the movie for that matter, would meet a violent demise. These are the types of people that I used to hate, and still do, back in school. I'd have a field day with these scumbags. Girls who behave this way often end up fat, abused by their own husbands, and having "litters" of kids. The girls I dated back in school actually had dignity, and self-worth. They centainly didn't behave like the girls in the movie. The guys were complete fools too. Ebonics will always be stupid. The "Cool" teens who enjoy this movie are the same vermin who thought the movie "Kids" was glamorous.
