    Subject: Thinking or Feeling

Moviemaking is a business and this move is a money making endeavor. The cast itself is an impressive collection of quality accomplished actors which in themselves would entice one to see this movie. The story could have been written about any country or place situated in such a location. The decision to film in the manner it was is to do something is to be inventive to entice people to come and see what is so inventive about it. The actual story is a gripping play which none of us would want to believe that we could fall to such a level. The evils of my current countryās government actions allow it to be totally directed to this county. Nevertheless it is a movie which if one is willing to see to the end is a compelling story of the possible flaws in all of us, which we donāt want to accept as possible. Each character has flaws therefore there is no true hero this making it an indictment of all of us. I think the hook in this movie is that we donāt want to identify with any of these people. If one views it as a description of Americas it makes us all look suspect. This making the move more than it is which if the intent is quit cleaver in itself. It reminds me of the WWII movies to turn the public against the Germans and Japanese in the late 40ās and early 50ās. It brings to mind a scene from a movie where a Japanese shoulder is surrendering only to bend over with a machine gun on his back and killing his captors, and the movie of the German on a life boat. Movies can be use to mold people if we allow them to, they are movies intended to make us feel and think and by the end of this movie it had for me. The movies is a change of pace from the current stream of move coming our way and it allows us to think not bombarding ever 15 seconds with distractions to become spectators this movie requires us to feel or walk out from the emotions we might encounter.
