Update: Lost Tribe's Makor show previewed in the article never happened as such. It was canceled, and in their place; Dave Binney performed a set with Adam Rogers (g), Scott Colley (b), and Frank Black (d). Lost Tribe fans, however, might want to check out the new relase "Soul Machine" by Fima Ephron (Tzadik Records 2001), the recording is a Lost Tribe reunion of sorts (well, 3/4 of them anyway) w/ Fima, Adam Rogers, Dave Binney, and Frank Black on drums (along with some special guests). Dave's most recent CD, "South" is also highly reccomended. It features such players as Brian Blade, Scott Colley, Adam Rogers, and Chris Potter. As an import, it is a hastle to get a hold of, but it is definately worth the trouble - you can order it by following the links at Dave's website at Mythologyrecords.com.
And if you want even more ex-Lost Tribe excitement , check out Mattthew garrison's self-titled solo album, which features Dave Gilmore, Adam Rogers and Dave Binney - an incredible CD..

    hi guys...
i'm in love with this band since 'my first time' (a concert in SESSO / Reggio Emilia - Italy) followed them 8and their side project like dave doglas 4et, bill evans push...) wherever i could and a few months ago ben told me (he had just played with dave douglas 6et) that lost tribe was dead...
i already have their 3 cd's... but no live recordings... is anybody out there able to help me?
