i saw Wanda Jean on HBO - first time in snippets. Feverishly searched TV listings for replays. After seeing it in its entirety I was utterly depressed. Found myself hoping that she would be spared. The whole story seemed one of unrelenting despair - futile lives always shadowed by a stalker whose price is life itself. Her "life" and that of her family was never real -a struggle always and hope when they dared to - even that was snatched away. A
thoroughly engrossing film. Should have been flrshed out and shown on big screen. Perhaps then something might be done aabout our muddled justice system
