Subject: Re: Regarding the teacher - what do you think?

He is a sexual predator, plain and simple. He carefully chose his victim (a girl who had unmet needs) and then presented himself as the answer to these needs. His TOTAL lack of reading Meg's emotions during the sex scene is the final nail in this coffin.

I knew Karen Moncrieff in highschool, and am about 99.9% certain I know who this character was based on. All caring and concerned on the outside, and cold and calculating on the inside.

Bottom line is as an adult, especially a teacher, you have a responsibility to the best interests of those in a position to not know what they want, i.e. minors. To allow your hormones to let you harm them, no matter under what guise, is inexcusable.

    Fired? How about "firing squad"?

    Response to this comment:
Regarding the teacher - what do you think?

Making love is where healing can take place. But that teacher just hurt her even more. Just when she could have found some love in this cruel and selfish world, she got treated like a whore by him. I was also surprised to finally see the teacher's true colours and Meg's napkin speech summarized what a scumbag he really is. Should be required viewing for all teachers in America.
    Good thought-provoking movie.

How many people think the teacher should be punished (fired, fined, jailed)?

Is he a devil who looked acted like an angel just to screw her?
