Reader comments on Kill Bill, Vol. 2

Oh please, you're reaching for something to gripe about. I used to eat mustard when i was young and it's not like she asked Vernita Green to drop dead on the spot or for Oren to keel over. They had to put up fights. Budd was no exception to this

    Response to this comment:
Budd's Bar, the Rock Salt & the mustard

What was the point of the scene in the bar or of even showing what Budd's workplace was like? Budd looks depressed and non-functional but if we are to believe this then, (aside from the fact his delightful shirts are too clean and well ironed for a depressed alcoholic) why is he ready, waiting and able to thwart Kiddo's attempt on his life? It's too out of character. And, why does she, who is so acutely prepared for anything she almost seems to have radar, allow herself to be shot by Budd? It's too out of character.
When Bill makes the little girl's sandwich he puts mustard in it. No little kid eats mustard but it was neat was watching the kid pulling the top bread slices off and playing with them. Unfortunately, there's a hiccup and all of a sudden the sandwich is whole again as if she hasn't touched it.
