    Reader comments on Barbarian Invasions

I was disappointed with the film Barbarian Invasion. Aside from the brilliant title name, the film illustrates and apparently exaggerates the sorry state of hospital system in Quebec. How can anyone find interesting a group of apparently intellectuals who meet and discuss all the 'ism' of modern society. There is even a scene of a former mistress who jumps into to bed with our dying patient. There is very fiew tender scenes in the movie and the performers are not all that attractive. Marie-Jose Croze is the character that saves this film. It is remenisence of the The Decline of the American Empire a previous film of Denys Archand. I would give it a 4 out of 10.
