most of the film is shot as the dream of Diane who is also Betty. It might be that Diane has already killed herself but I think she kills herself after she wakes up. I think the memories of what was once real, the dream, and the fact that she killed her lover sent her crazy and she shot herself. After she hires a hit man she sleeps and has this dream. All the characters in her dream were at the dinner party in the end. She hears Adam talk about leaving his wife because she was with the pool guy, coco is his mother, the blonde whose name is Camilla in the dream and got cast ,was one of camilla's lovers (that's why she gets the part and Betty has no chance), even the cow boy is in the background. The characters in her dream are changed, her image is altered to be what she thinks is better she has perfect teeth and is a good actress, camilla is dependent on her, Camilla is vulnerable because she doesn't know who she is, she ends up wearing a blonde wig (ironic). Camilla is everything she wants and wants to be. Even her character in the dream is in love with camilla. The color blue has a lot of symbolism in this movie, the blue box, the blue key, the singing woman in red (symbolizing Camilla who is a dark brunette always in red) that causes them to cry as she sings the song of a lost lover during which Betty pulls out the blue box out of her purse, there is even a blue light on stage, the door and sign to the club is blue, in the theatre there is a flashing blue fog that causes Betty to convulse, the stage is lit up blue, when the mob boss is giving orders there is a blue light in the background. After she kills herself the room is blue. Because the key was blue I believe it represents her pain, her evils, her torment which are symbolized throughout the dream. There is something evil behind Winky's because that's where she made the deal. The woman at the end has blue hair and says Silence in spanish after Diane shoots herself.

mulholland drive
Very weird, intense, thought provoking film.Every relationship you try to make between the characters falls apart, it is fantastic film that arise conversation themes between your friends for days, go and see it!
I wish someone could give me some explanations.
