How eerie was this movie? Lila Lee, the repressed Christian singer encountering a very ancient evil in Lemora. A small flower against a dense gothic swamp of darkness. I can even now still hear the innocent singing of Lila almost inviting corruption. I suspect the film -- in it's very very strange way -- is a sort of supernatural retelling of growing up. In every forum on the topic of this film, there curls tales of youth and nostalgia around the film. Are we the viewers of the fil, or are we, like Lila Lee, being "lessoned" by Lemora?
