When a movie throws a twist at the audience towards or at the end, most viewers contemplate what happened, trace their steps back, analyze with friends -- with SWIMMING POOL you don't care to, and that's what I think is the film's ultimate failure. At first, you're tempted to sort it out, but just like that, something else has entered your mind and SWIMMING POOL has been back-catalogued far, far back in the mind.
