    Hey man,
Yeah, like you, lately I have been checking this site (among others) more often than is probably healthy, but rest assured, I do have a life.
Dude,, I'm not your enemy, I'm just offering up an opinion. Tim G isn't my favourite artist or anything. I think some of his stuff is okay, but I'm not bowled over by his work.- Not really my cup o' tea, his style and method. You don't groove on his stuff either- that's cool. But what's with all the hostility and how is it you feel you know what the inner workings of this guy's brain is? (Or mine for that matter). Well, I guess you already explained where your hostility comes from. So fuck,, I'm guessing you live in America, isn't that the land of go-getters and opportunity? Stop whining that no one will give you opportunities and go make them for yourself. Some people are born with silver spoons up their ass, in their mouth, wherever... personally, I don't know if Tim G is like that- (do you?), but there are a lot of people who came from nothing or nowhere- artists, or whoever, who made somthing out of nothing. You have choices dude.
Yeah, I've studied a lot of art history. I studied it on government loans I'm still struggling to pay off while doing shit-loads of "expressive" painting and other kinds of art. No one made me do this- I did it because it was an extension of doing what I love to do.
If you don't know or can't remember a lot of shit, that's your own fault. There are libraries, peers, help, you obviously know about the internet.. None of which has to cost a dime.

Hey Humble Pie, you're not the best artist in the world.
Now,, if you have the balls, you'll proove me and the art fags you so despise wrong.

    Re: To: blaster again

do you go on this website every day now to check to see if I wrote back? am I your new best friend? My problem is I am a cocky ass artist that feels like I have more talent than anyone else in the world and I'm pissed off that to make a live as an artist in a rural area I have to paint neat fucking pictures and go to a craft store to buy paint. Art is the perfect way to express more than just ideas. It is hard to explain to some book learnt art history person how to depict feeling in something that doesn't spell it out for you. I would love to have the opportunity that tim gardiner had and in my mind he's a big pussy.
he's too worried about replicating a picture that he isn't taking time to enjoy what he's doing. he enjoy's the response. i fucking failed art history twice and almost didn't graduate because of it. I can't remember names of anyone, let alone a bunch of dead people.
What kind of car do you drive?
I picure you in a corolla, civic, or maybe a saturn.
