What I don't understand is the the scene where Phil is talking to Gordan and Phil is telling Gordan not to say anything because someone will find out about the others or something like that, but in a scene before that it showed David's character with a knife and Gordan was looking at the wall in Mary's room. The movvie made it look like that Phil gave Hank a lobotany and Gordan kept saying you did this. I guess what I'm asking is did Phil's spirt come back or did Gordan just start imagining Phil doing or did Gordan kill Hank?

from what i understand, it was gordon that did it. there are some scenes where david caruso is also only present in gordon's mind...remember when mcmanus says "who are you talking to?" and phil is no longer standing there...because gordon already killed him.
