My bride took me to see this movie that she had seen first by herself. Neither of us has been to Italy, but we found the movie devastatingly interesting, moving, compelling. Whether the wife, heroine or anti-heroine for the literary-minded, is manic-depressive, or just extremely sensitive and emotional, is a matter for the American Psychiatric Asociation. The characters, the visuals, and the sheer intensity of this film make it one we highy recommend. To the chap who suggested that boobs and leg shape undermine film quality, we say we think you missed the point. PS Her breasts were small, not large, and while her legs were perhaps so-so, does it really matter? No mean-spiritedness intended here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Respiro

Has the reviewer ever been to an Italian island? There really are people like that. First she's not that beautiful except her face. She has thick legs and big boobs; the husband is not good-looking except in a sort of Italian macho way. The movie is much better than you review. The realistic melds quite effectively with the magical, much like a Fellini movie. Go visit an Italian island, or a Greek or Turkish one for that matter. You need a dose of reality yourself.
