I must admit I agree with you about the continous (and seemingly never-ending) use of the term "bugger off." However, yes, it is a rather common British term.

I, too, saw the movie several times, and was surprised that I never grew tired of watching Will, Marcus, and the others. Maybe that is why I enjoyed it so much...the movie was difficult to tire of.

The music was odd enough to fit the movie perfectly; it was (it my opinion) was of the movie's strong-points, as were the characters.

Anyway, I would like for you to know, "Steven B.," that the President George Bush "joke" was not in the least bit humorous.

    A+bout A Boy

Not many reviews here may mean the audience had so much to reflect on they couldn't respond.

This is a sleeper classic versus the As Good As It Gets immediate classic status.

Now I'm curious about the books ending. Still this is about the movie. Onward.

I was in Seward Alaska at the time where I work seasonaly. I've watched just about anything there when I have had the time. (This year I was too wise to waste my time on The Scorpion King and a couple others.)

I watched this one three times and plan to catch it again.

Hue Grant lost all his facial ploys like our President George Bush lost his habitual smirk to help himself get elected.

As an American I grew tired of hearing the term "bugger off" but maybe that's what Brits like to say these days.

The music worked for me but the humor and confruntational situations left me very pleased to be in the audience of About A Boy.

Now I'd better bugger off for now.

    Steven
