in the first half they are discussing fictional storytelling highlighted by selma blair's story which is in fact very real.
in the second half they are discussing nonfictional storytelling through the usage of a documentary...showing that even nonfiction can have a fictional presence that is warped by its creator. the creator/director is constructing a story by choosing to show only pieces of the whole.
solondz shows how the lines drawn between fiction and nonfiction are extremely transparent.
