I believe that the chair was used in electroshock therapy. the coins symbolized hank's greed...i don't think that gordon looked at caruso holding the coin and thought "does he know what i did"...he doesn't know what he did...just like mary, he can't remember at that point. the coins are everywhere because hank's been wandering around in a stupor. gordon's wife is dead. as for the entrance of the cemetary, it's a cool shot...perhaps gordon is drawn to it...(he sits on mary's grave, overturned by a tree...creepy).

Some cool questions
Hy people. We're two friends from Spain and we watched the film yesterday. We've got some questions about the story. For example:
- The symbolic chair in front of Mary's room.
- The coins.
- The paralelism between Mary's story and Gordon's.
- What happens with Gordon's wife?Is she dead? or only she left his husband?
- What really happened with Mary?
- Why the camera focus the entrance of the cementery?
- Why Gordon hears the voices (simon?) at the start of the film?
