Subject: WHAT A DISASTER THESE TWO GUYS ARE!
    Date: Feb 1, 2003
Sender: Just a girlPrevious | Next

I saw the film and cringed. I've been on the net now for three years, with some pretty big bumps in the road. Now, my product is secure and I have customers, customers, customers. This net biz will make me a millionaire. Watching Startup.com I could sympathize with Tom and Kaleil .. for about 5 minutes. Sympathy for Tom in that he had to deal with that megalomaniac, Kaleil. Sympathy for Kaleil, because the man had no idea what he was doing or what he was getting into. I kept wondering WHEN are they going to check in with their programmers?!? When are they going to test the site?!? What about SEO?!? Site placement?? Building trusted affiliations? And on and on. All I saw was a bunch of kiddy-men bragging and farting about with the mundane - three of them on laptops over a logo, for godsake, with a decision that had to made RIGHT THEN. Fellas, don't sweat it. That movie was scary - it certainly generated a reaction from me as I watched them fumble and bumble with other peoples' money. $50 million. I'm number one on Google, Yahoo and AOL in an extremely competitive financial market. I did it for a lot less dinero than you two! It took three years and a lot of hours, hard work, learning and money to get here. It's called commitment and investment, Tom and Kaleil, and - in not even realizing it -that is precisely where you two lost your way.
