    Reader comments on Boy A

    Subject: Boy A review
    Date: Dec 12, 2010

It is a superb movie, and Garfield, via the Red Riding Trilogy, The Social Network and now Spider Man, is on his way to the starry kudos he so richly deserves. However it is the opening paragraph of Tang's review which is haunting me and not because of my own mal-de-mer off Windward Oahu, but because it reminded me of the dreadful cruelty of deep-sea fishing, that beautiful creatures that become irridescent in death do not deserve to be terminally tortured and that fish do indeed feel pain. The unwitting result of Boy A may be that a reviewer of that fine work may have pushed me ever-closer to committed Veganism. Thank you.
