Reader comments on The Last Days of Madalyn Murray O'Hair in Exile

    Subject: Interesting

Not born until the late 70s, I did not know of Mrs. O'Hair. As an atheist, I have become interested in her life and achievements, and the controversial nature of this play interests me, as well. I hope I can find a way to see the play or at least read it.

In doing this, I understand that the play is a satire. Although the true whereabouts of Mrs. O'Hair were learned to be more tragic than Mr. Foley could ever have imagined, I appreciate that he continued with the play. Personally, it seems like a good way to bring comedy to tragedy.

Again, I did not know her personally and just learned of her recently. But I hope others will likewise find interest in O'Hair's life and activities in support of the atheist cause.

Whether she is "evil" or a "crook" cannot be determined by any of us. All we can know is what good she did for us, the atheists, and those not yet willing to give up their religion crutch.

    Thank you,
    cgStarling
