    Far from NY, I didn't see NY park production, but participated in "Summer of Love" Reunion of original cast members in Golden Gate Park, summer 2007. We opened the Anniversary concert with a medley of Hair songs, and watched as a relatively bored crowd of thousands(waiting for the appearance of "big acts") was transformed into a standing sea of singing, cheering, peace-sign-flashing belivers! I believe that indicates a timelessness...of message, of universality, of the beauty of the PEACE/LOVE desires in all humankind. And, because we are 60-ish, an attempt was made to simplify the choreography for us. HA! When the music started, we all simultaneously, automatically reverted to our original blocking! With voices, and message, as strong and urgent as in 1967!
