I fully agree with Jacob. Bangkok dangerous is in fact one of the best Thai movies in its genre. The silence and the blue colours give it an extra feel and beauty. A recent Hollywood remake with Nicolas Cage could not come close, as most Hollywood remakes of Asian film can't, even though Cage did well and also that version was a pleasure to watch.

    bangkok dangerous

Grady's obviously not seen the film; he just read the info on the back of the DVD case. There is much more in it than just a love-story, Holly-wood-style or not. Kong sees himself in fact as an avenging angel, who dispatches the man who rapes Oam and the fellows who kill Joe. Kong obviously likes his work. His doubts only begin when he finds out he has killed a good man. Also, Pawalit, Pattharawarin, Premsinee and Pisek are all fine actors. *****
