The fact that the husband was actually sterile was only discussed among the women -- specifically the wife & her doctor. The wife couldn't bring it up to her husband as the doctor suggested, nor come in to discuss in-vitro fertilization. When the wife suggested he have a check-up, he dismssed it out of hand. No one ever told the husband of his probable sterility if I remember correctly.

As I understood the movie, it was the husband that was "barren", not the wife. These religious fanatics are in the same category as the Taliban and the Evangelical Christian freaks. All religions mean and say the same thing anyway. I'm glad that movies like Kadosh and Osama came out to let the world know about what goes on and how women were and still are abused by these barbaric men. Maybe not every little thing is correct on the religion aspect, but the treatment of women was portrayed right on the money!
